Self Help Group

The empowerment of Tribal SHGs is also a main component of the ITDP. There are already 97 SHGs formed so far withs over 880 members. During the current financial year the 97 SHG’s have saved Rs.2,50,217 and Rs.7,90,218 of loan repayments have been paid. Under this programme the following activities are regularly carried out:

Regular meetings.
Continuous savings.
Internal rotation of savings.
Thrift and credit operations discussed during group meetings.
Transparent and democratic decision making.
Non-exploitation of members needs.
One for all and all for one.
Urge for the increase of corpus.
Determination for economic and social development.
Training and Capacity building.
Group management.
Accounts and book keeping.
Accessing Government schemes and bank finance.
